Design Travel: Baja Club Hotel in Mexico, With Shades of Barragán

A few weeks ago Studio Krokalia, one of our designers to watch this year, shared on Instagram a glimpse of Baja Club Hotel in La Paz, Mexico, and it quickly became the latest addition to my design travel wish list (which grows lengthier by the day).

The hotel is the work of Paris-based firm Jaune (interiors) and Mexico City-based Max von Werz (architecture). We’re particularly smitten by the generous use of richly hued tile all over (on bars, bathroom vanities, fireplace surrounds, and breakfast tables, just to name a few)—an idea to borrow at home. (Is all-over tile a trend for 2023? We think so.)
